Annual Ethics Symposium

Genesis

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Approaching the process of healing after loss, the Genesis Hospice is helping people with their struggle.

Genesis Hospice is hosting a free symposium on Thursday, November 1st, for those who want to learn more about soul injury. This symposium will teach people about the actions of healing left after a profound loss or inner trauma. Volunteer Marketing Consultant for Genesis Hospice Care, Heidi Williams, believes this will help any person who might be suffering.

“So trying to recognize the core of the injury, the core that is one, is yourself. And trying to address that is one step toward healing that,” said Williams.

The speaker for the symposium is Deborah Grassman, she is a mental health nurse practitioner and CEO of Opus Peace, a non profit organization raising awareness about soul injury.

“Deborah’s work involves not only veterans, but many people who suffer from those injuries, and people who take care of those who suffer from them,” said Vicki Kumorowski, Director of Genesis Spiritual Care.

The event will take place at the North Terrace Church with refreshments at 5 p.m. and the program runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
