Rev. Allan Scottie Robinson (May 26, 1937 – June 30, 2016)

Rev. Allan Scottie Robinson, 79, of Nashport, died at 8:05 P.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born May 26, 1937, in Coshocton, a son of the late John and Wildiah Connolly Robinson. He had been a minister for over 50 years, serving the North Central Ohio District of Nazarene Churches, and was a volunteer at Christ’s Table.
He is survived by a son John Robinson of Coshocton; a daughter Katrina (Samuel Sr.) Sweely of Beloit; four grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Cook, Samuel Lee Sweely Jr., Zachary (Mary) Robinson, and Garrett Robinson; three great grandchildren, Hunter Blake, Emily Blake, and Lydia Cook; three foster grandchildren, Jacob Brown, and twins Cheyenne and Alexis Brown; four brothers, Dewaine (Joann) Robinson of Reynoldsburg, Vernon (Polly) Robinson of Medina, Rodney (Sharon) Robinson of Caldwell and Dwight (Karen) Robinson of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris C. Bobst Robinson, whom he married May 20, 1956.
Friends and family may call from 3:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 4, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, with Rev. Steve Ward-District Superintendent with North Central Ohio District Church of the Nazarenes, officiating, assisted by Pastor Steve Dupler. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Doris at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
