A 200 Mile Yard Sale

ZANESVILE, Ohio- If you love bargains and deals listen up, a yard sale spanning nearly 200 miles will take place on State Route 60 next month.

The first ever Ohio 60 Yard Sale will take place from the banks of the Ohio River to the shores of Lake Erie on September 15th through the 18th.

“Here’s the thing about an event like this, it benefits lots of folks,” organizer Rick Shriver said. “If you live along route 60, you put your surplus items out. You can sell them. Get a little extra money. Which you will then do what with, spend it in the local economy.”

Shriver said this yard sale is open to groups, non-profits, and any individual who wants to participate.

“No one is making money from this except you. If you’re selling stuff, you’re going to make money. I just think it’s a great idea. It’s going to help the community,” Shriver said.
