ArtCoZ Announces Artist and Musician of the Month

ZANESVILLLE, Ohio – The Artist Colony of Zanesville recently nominated Julie Shaffer as artist of the month and Paul Quinn as musician of the month.

Artist Julie Shaffer has been following her passion of hand crafting metal jewelry then displaying her work at local art exhibits over the past four years.

“I take vintage silverware, mostly the plated and I clean it up and I make it into wearable jewelry. I make rings, necklaces, bracelets, I’ve made a few pairs of earrings, vases, keychains and all kinds of stuff,” Shaffer said.

Musician Paul Quinn has been performing for years and recently has been very instrumental in participating in the local music scene.

“Friday night I’ll be at Urban Comforts with the New World Music Ensemble we call it. Stoey Stout, Mark Snider, Gio Bradshaw and myself will be entertaining 6-9 at Urban Comforts Friday night,” Quinn said.
