Bidding Will Begin Soon For Airport Industrial Business Park

ZANESVILLE, OHIO-The Zanesville-Muskingum Port Authority held met Wednesday morning. During the meeting they discussed the airport park project.
The airport project is an initiative to make the airport business park a shovel ready site, which means to make the site ready for any business to come in and start digging.
“We are getting to a point where the weather is going to change we would like to have the project complete where we can market it as soon as possible,” Port Authority Executive Director Matt Abbot said.
ADR & Associates engineering firm has begun working on the airport business park. Bidding should begin soon for the deep dynamic compacting and dirt work.
“Right now, we’re in the bid process. It was advertised yesterday. It will be advertised again tomorrow. We will have a pre bid meeting here at the welcome center 9 a.m. on August 29th. Bids will close September 1st. So we’re looking forward to getting a lot of bids for the project. And moving forward create a shovel ready site and set ourselves apart here in Muskingum County,” Abbot said.
Abbott is confident that the site can be shovel ready by this fall.
