Blue Devils open tournament with win over Potters

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Zanesville opened up their post-season on Tuesday evening with a 10-0 with over East Liverpool.

The game looked like it was going to be a pitcher’s duel with each team failing to score in any of the first three innings, but the Blue Devil bats awoke in the 4th inning putting the game out of reach.

Zanesville scored 8 runs in the bottom half of the 4th, and added two more in the bottom half of the 5th to run-rule the Potters by a final of 10-0.

The Blue Devils will now play in the District Semifinals on Monday against Steubenville. The location of the game has yet to be determined.
