Buttermore leaving Tri-Valley, takes head coaching job at Granville

DRESDEN, Ohio – After spending the last 12 season turning the Tri-Valley football into a dynasty, head coach Justin Buttermore has accepted an offered to run the Granville football program.
Tri-Valley athletic director Erin Nezbeth confirmed to WHIZ Sports Tuesday that Buttermore will no longer be the Scotties head coach and that he will be leading the Blue Aces this fall.
Buttermore took over at Tri-Valley in 2006 and helped turn them into one the of most dominate teams in the area. During his dozen years in Dresden, the Scotties made the playoff 10 times. That includes this past season when they made it all the way to the DIII state championship game.
Buttermore inherits a Granville program that is coming of a successful 2017. They went 8-3 and made the playoffs.
This means there will be at least four coaching changes in the Muskingum Valley League this year. New Lexington, Morgan, and Crooksville will also have new head coaches.
