Cambridge girls top Zanesville for sectional title

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – They say it’s hard to beat a team three times in one season, but that’s exactly what the Cambridge Lady Bobcats did Saturday afternoon.

Cambridge took an early lead over Zanesville in the sectional championship game and never looked back on their way to a 56-43 victory.

Lilly Ritz and Khloe Taylor both scored 15 for the Cats. Tasia Staunton and Melena Moore were the only Blue Devils in double figures with 12 each.

Third seeded Cambridge will now move on to the districts to play River View Wednesday at a location to be announced. Zanesville finishes the season with an overall record of 9-14.
