Carnegie Gallery display

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The John McIntire Library is looking back through history.
Marketing and Community Relations Director Sean Fennell said they will be setting up a display of pictures from the library’s past. He said they discovered albums of old pictures of the Carnegie building and want to show them off to the public.
“We found a whole bunch of these albums that contain some incredible photographs of our Carnegie building and we decided that we really wanted to share that with our community,” said Fennell.
Fennell said the images date from the early 1900s through the 1960s and most of the pictures were taken in the Carnegie wing, which is where they will be displayed.
“Something I think that’s really great about this show is that when we discovered all of these images we wanted to be able to share this with everybody. We think that history is really important,” said Fennell.
Fennell said the opening of the show will be Friday, November 2nd at 5 p.m. and that it will be available for viewing the whole month. He said if you can’t make the opening night, the gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of November.
