Carr Center to Host 35th Annual Cake Auction

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Carr Center will be hosting its 35th Annual Cake Auction virtually this year.
This year, businesses and companies are asked to have their cakes prepared by professional bakers, whether that’s from a business or store front due to Covid safety. Incentives from the businesses are included with each cake.
“We love to see your creativity with the cakes and the incentives, both parts are very important to us, we have some really cool stuff already,” said Carr Center Executive Director Becky Clawson.
The Carr Center is expecting 415 entries. As of now, there are 215. The deadline has been extended online until next Friday for those who wish to still enter.
“In the past, this event has been very successful for us and actually has kept the center running in hard times, so we really depend on these funds every year and this year is no different,” said Clawson
The auction will be live on the WHIZ radio on April 28th and 29th, from 8 to 5:30 p.m. To bid on a cake, you can text or call the Carr Center at 740-453-5417. Videos and pictures of the cake entries will be posted on the Carr Center’s website and Facebook page.
