Cash Explosion to Celebrate 35th Anniversary At The Ohio State Fair

COLUMBUS, Oh – The Ohio Lottery Cash Explosion is celebrating their 35th Anniversary with a very special event!

The popular show will host a live taping on July 31st at the Ohio State Fair! 

Eight lucky audience members in possession of a special 35th anniversary Cash Explosion ticket with a special symbol on it will be chosen to play for a chance to win 350,000 dollars.

Cash Explosion Co-host David McCreary says he is excited to celebrate this piece of Ohio history. 

“It’s just part of Ohio, you know, history. It’s been around that long that it’s, it’s something. It’s a thing that people know and I’m a part of it. It just blows my mind. I love it. I absolutely love doing what I do,” McCreary told us.

The show will be recorded live at Taft Coliseum and air both August 6th and 13th.

McCreary says this momentous anniversary would not have been possible without all the loyal fans and participants.

“This show would not exist if it wasn’t for the viewers and the players. And they keep me working, they keep me having a blast doing a job that I absolutely love. So from the bottom of my heart, I’ll look right in the camera and tell folks, look, thank you so much for being part of Cash Explosion and making my past 6 years so, so great,” he said.

For those without the special ticket needed for the chance to win the 350,000 dollar top prize, which is the largest in Cash Explosion history, the show will also be giving away $50,000 worth of cash prizes to audience members. 

McCreary says he can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with the community that made it possible and encourages anyone interested in attending the taping to arrive early!
