Chamber of Commerce Promotes Courthouse Light Display

Courthouse Lights 3

ZANESVILLE, OH – If you have driven through Downtown Zanesville in the evenings you have likely seen all the holiday lights and decorations.

The decorations are all part of A Storybook Christmas here in Muskingum County. The campaign started 6 years ago and is part of an overall way to market Muskingum County during the holiday season.

“We are absolutely thrilled about the beautiful decorations that we have here in Muskingum County. And in particular the Courthouse. And we are certainly encouraging families and friends and anyone that is looking for beautiful displays of lights to make sure that they tour downtown and enjoy the Courthouse lights,” Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kelly Ashby said.

The lights were turned on Wednesday December 2nd and will run through Saturday January 2nd. The music and light show can be seen between 6 and 9 pm during the week and on the weekends 6 to 10 pm. Ashby shares where all you can enjoy the lights.

“So it’s part of A Storybook Christmas. So in addition to the lights at the Courthouse we also encourage families to enjoy all the beautiful lights at Zanes Landing, the Downtown is decorated, there’s a lot of great store fronts that are decorated, and there’s also beautiful lights and decorations in Dresden and also in New Concord. So Muskingum County promotes and celebrates A Storybook Christmas during the Holiday Season. And so the Courthouse lights is part of that.”
