Christ’s Table Announces ‘Souper Bowl’ Benefit Luncheon

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Christ’s Table in downtown Zanesville is announcing its 2019 ‘Souper Bowl’ benefit luncheon, making this its twenty-third year.
“We want people to know that there is still time. It is the third Sunday in October, which is October 20 and we’re doing it at the campus center. We are excited that Marco Adornetto and his Culinary Arts students have come back again to help us out with cooking the good food,” says Keely Warden, Christ’s Table Executive Director.
Warden says it takes hundreds of volunteers to pull-off an event as big as the ‘Souper Bowl’ luncheon.
“It’s a simple meal for a simple meal. The volunteers that come together get excited every year to prepare a bowl of soup to raise enough money that the five agencies that benefit from the Souper Bowl can, in turn, during the winter provide a bowl of soup for somebody in need,” she says.
Eastside Community Ministry, Christ’s Table, Fellowship of Christ’s Community, Salvation Army and Muskingum County Center for Seniors will benefit from the Souper Bowl, set for October 20 at the Zanesville Campus.
