Church Celebrates Groundbreaking

In its 200th year of operation a Zanesville church is celebrating with a groundbreaking.
The First Baptist Church in South Zanesville plans to add an educational wing that will hold four new classrooms and a nursery. The wing is scheduled to be complete in June.
“This actually began about a year ago with some informal and formal conversations in the congregation that we really needed more space in order to effectively serve in ministry. We felt we needed more room space and we wanted a better nursery,” said Pastor David Nuhfer. “God has blessed us with all this property, so we decided to just go ahead an add on to the building we have and then we can have a wing for Christian education where we can have more classes and more meeting space.”
The church has operated from their South Zanesville location since 2015.
