Colony Square Mall Hosts Hiring Event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — A hiring event is set for Wednesday afternoon at Zanesville’s Colony Square Mall.

It’s a chance for anyone looking for employment to be noticed by hiring managers.

“We have over twenty employers that will be there. They will be accepting resumes and possibly you will be interviewed also if they like your resume. HR managers that will be there and they all have open positions. So it’s not like they’re building their resume’ pool or their application pool. They have open positions now,” says Debbie Greiner, of the Ohio Dept. of Job & Family Services Muskingum County.

Experts say job fairs are a great way to put your best foot forward by making your resume’ flawless, without typos and including your address, phone number and email. Making multiple copies and making sure you dress for success is a sure bet before visiting a job fair.

“You don’t want to bring your family. You don’t want to go, walk out of Bath & Body and go straight to an employer because the employer might see you and think, well, you’re just here shopping. Thinking, well, I’ll fill out an application over here. Your main focus would be to go to the mall for the job hiring event, not to go shopping. Definitely don’t bring your kids, your husband, your wife; some people will bring their kids in their stroller and think that’s okay because they’ll push them off to the side. I’ve seen that before. It’s all about finding you a job,” Greiner adds.

The hiring event is set for Wednesday, October 2 from 3pm until 6pm at Colony Square Mall.
