Columbia Gas of Ohio Offers Resources to Help Pay Bills

ZANESVILLE, OH – Columbia Gas of Ohio wants to make sure their customers stay connected.
The moratorium on disconnecting customers for non-payment will end on July 29th.
“We’ve suspended disconnections for non-payment through July 29th. But that is really a last resort, we don’t want it to come to that. We really encourage people, reach out today, get that help, today is the best day to get the help that you need,” Columbia Gas Communications Manager Dave Rau said.
Customers are encouraged to reach out for assistance as there are many options available for those who need it.
“So we really want to encourage people to take advantage of this time to check out those programs. Some things they can do, they can call us, they can also call their local community action agency, lots of resources there to help them even beyond utility bills, many resources. Another is the Salvation Army, they have a great program called Heat Share, that can help pay a portion of your bill. And you can call 211 and get information about a lot of resources in the community,” Rau said.
Columbia Gas also offers payment plans that can break up your balance into smaller chunks to make it more affordable.
