Coshocton County boy killed by lightning strike

COSCHOCTON, Ohio – The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that 9-year-old Noah Stutzman was killed Wednesday afternoon by a lighting strike.

According to Sheriff Tim Rogers, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 12:35 p.m. from a mother saying that her son was struck by lightning in Jefferson Township and that he was unresponsive.

Coshocton County EMS was the first on the scene along with the Sheriff’s Office and Walhonding Valley Fire Department.

The 9-year-old was transported to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, where he later died from injuries.
