COSHOCTON, Ohio – It’s a way to learn about health and nutrition without taking a trip to the doctors.

At Kids America in Coshocton local agencies put on their fifth annual health and fitness expo. Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce director Amy Stockdale said it’s a day that many people look forward to.

“Coshocton Regional Medical Center has about 20 different booths. Anything from blood draws, to blood pressure checks, to PDAs. They have all kinds of different testing. They are talking about nutrition, balance, they have a whole slew of things going on over in their area. And then there are another 48 vendors from all over the community,” said Stockdale.

Last year over 1,200 visitors came out for the expo and Stockdale said they hoped to surpass that number this year. It was an event that she created five years ago to help the community.

“It was my idea for the Chamber, being a sponsor for our safety council, to bring something to the community that was health, wellness, and safety related,” said Stockdale.

Stockdale said they are already looking forward to next year’s expo.
