Crooksville opens season with win

LANCASTER, Ohio – Coming off a 1-9 season, the Crooksville Ceramics have started 2017 on a positive note.

They pick up a Saturday non-conference win to start the season over Fisher Catholic, 38-28. Senior quarterback Landon Hinkle passed for a touchdown and ran for three more in the Ceramics’ victory. Chip Russell kicked a 40-yard field goal late in the game for Crooksville that sealed the deal.

The Ceramics will open MVL play Friday when they take on Philo at home.
