Dempsey scores 31, Muskies fall at Marietta

MARIETTA, Ohio – Despite getting 31 points from the reigning DIII national player of the week, the Muskie men’s team fell on the road to Marietta 104-86.

Muskingum trailed by six at halftime, but couldn’t keep up with Marietta in the second half. The Muskies are now 5-7 on the season while the Pioneer jump up to 9-3.

Marcus Dempsey, who is leading the OAC in scoring, went off for 31 points and was 5-7 on three-pointers. Four Muskies scored in double-figures.

Up next for Muskingum is a road trip to Tiffin to play Heidelberg on Saturday.
