Deputies Find Man Stabbed in Zanesville Home

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Police were called to the 6100 block of Chandlersville Rd. on Monday around 11:40 a.m. for reports of a man being stabbed, according to police.
According Sheriff Matthew Lutz, deputies found a 40-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck and his girlfriend 36-year-old Amanda Umbleby.
“With a stab wound to his neck area – he was bleeding profusely from the injury. We obviously had rescue personnel come in and tend to him and transport him into the hospital.”
The prosecutor’s office reviewed the case and Umbleby has been charged with felonious assault. She is awaiting arraignment and is currently being held at the Muskingum County Jail.
The man was taken to the hospital, treated for his injuries and released.
Officers do not believe anyone else was in the home at the time.
