MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center named Dodge its dog of the week.

Dodge was brought in as an owner release in the beginning of June. The young, cattle-mix pup is looking for a family who he can share his energy with. He would love an affectionate family.

“He accepts all the affection you could possibly give him. He’s kind of a younger dog so he has a little more energy than most but like I said, if you have a backyard to play in and where kids could run with him. You could probably teach him to catch a ball. You could probably do a lot of things with him. He would make a great family dog,” dog volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

Dodge is shy at first but will open up. He loves to chew, so chew toys will be the best to keep him occupied. He’s manageable to walk and enjoys car rides. He is also housebroken, as he has a clean kennel every day.

“He actually grew up with other dogs but naturally if you have a dog, we would require you to bring him to meet Dodge to make sure everyone gets along fine,” McQuaid said.

If you’re looking to adopt Dodge, he is ready to go. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. You can contact the K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273 to set up a meet and greet.
