Dog Warden Names Its Dog of the Week

Dog Of The Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center is naming its dog of the week for this week.

This week’s dog is Patches, a mixed breed girl who is less than a year old. She has made many friends at the adoption center, but volunteer Doug McQuaid thinks its her time to move on.

“This is Patches. Patches came into us October 6th. Owner release, due to the owners moving. The information she gave us were: she’s very good with children, other dogs, is house broke,  crate trained, very easy to walk, rode very well in the vehicle in a metal crate. I think this dog would make someone a wonderful companion.”

Patches was given up by her former owners but McQuaid says that there are various upsides that may bring to future owners.

“The best thing that we like about it, if you wanna call owner release a good thing, due to circumstances beyond, is at least they can let you know a little bit about the dog… a dog that’s been given up by a previous owner has had a lot of contact. A lot of companionship and so forth that they’re used to what they’re getting ready to possibly go into.”, McQuaid said.

Adoption inquiries can be made by calling the Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
