Donation Provides New Wheelchair Van

The Carr Center has a new mode of transportation to serve
our area thanks to the generosity of a local company.
Quality Care Partners donated more than $26,000 to help the
center purchase a new van with a wheelchair lift.
“So, what we have done is looked for organizations that
exist in our surrounding communities to assist in really filling gaps where
social determinants are keeping people from medical appointments or being able
to afford good care,” said Cindy Baker, Quality Care Partners CEO.
Anyone in the area is eligible to utilize the van for medical
appointment transportation.
“The Carr Center partners with the SEAT organization, or Southeast
Area Transit, to take clients all around the Muskingum county area to and from
non-emergent medical appointments both inside our county and outside our county
every day. So, our vehicles are on the road Monday through Friday,” Becky
Clawson, Carr Center executive director.
This is one of the few vans in the area with a wide
wheelchair lift. If you are in need of transportation assistance contact SEAT
