Easter egg hunt

East Egg Hunt

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Kids are off to the races searching for Easter eggs and prizes.

A family held its annual Easter egg hunt by hiding over 2,500 eggs throughout Putnam Hill Park. Each egg had a prize in it and children were able to collect as many as they could find.

“It’s great because they’re so excited and they know that there’s a prize in it before they go out. So, they’re like ‘Oh, what is this,” said assistant coordinator Kristian Wilden.

Wilden said this free event was open to the public as a way to give back to the community on Easter. She said anyone who came was able to eat a great meal and most importantly spend time with their family.

“That is the greatest interaction. The excitement takes over them for the little prize. There are different prizes, there’s candy, there’s money, We have big prizes (for) all ages, all age appropriate,” said Wilden.

Wilden said this is their largest Easter egg hunt turnout in the over 20 years of doing it.
