Easter Egg Hunt at First Christian Church
The Easter Bunny came out extra early to hide eggs at the First Christian Church on Dresden Rd. Saturday morning.
In a matter of minutes, thousands of brightly colored eggs, was scooped up and put into Easter bags and baskets. Kim Paul says this year marks approximately 30 years for the
Christian church to host this free event for the public. Paul said this event was organized by the Christian Education Program in order to bring the members of the community together.
"An important part of this for us is that we do tell the Easter story to the kids while they’re here. We do that using what we called ‘Children Workshop and Wonder Stories’ which is something we do every Sunday morning during our 10:30 service for our kids. So it’s an opportunity for them to see how we share our stories with the young children of our church," said Paul.
Paul said the it’s important to them to continue this tradition of telling the Easter story and having the fun festivities for the children because, it’s their message to the community.
"It is so wonderful for us to be able to share at this time the good news of our risen Lord. And to be a message of hope to our community and our world," said Paul.
Paul said tomorrow’s sunrise service start at 7:00 a.m followed by an 8:30 and 10:30 service and everyone is welcome to join.
