EF-0 Tornado Confirmed in Noble County

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado occurred in Noble County on the evening of Thursday, June 25th, 2026.

According to a preliminary damage survey report, the tornado began in Sue-Lin Acres, just north of Senecaville Lake, at 5:49 PM. In Sue-Lin Acres, there was one softwood tree down, and multiple large branches that fell on top of a camper and a home. From there, it moved over the lake, knocking large branches down on the other side, just off of State Route 147. Along Oak Hill Road, there were large branches down and a hardwood tree down, with one tree down across the roadway.

From there, the tornado moved mainly east-southeast. Along Palestine Ridge Road, Batesville Road, and Burr Road, there were only sporadic instances of leaf litter and small branches down. Then, there was a hardwood tree down with several large branches off trees along Maple Drive and Clear Valley Road.

The tornado lifted at 5:57 PM, with a total duration of 8 minutes. It had a path length of 4.73 miles and an estimated peak wind speed of 75 mph. No injuries or fatalities were reported. This is Noble County’s first tornado since an F2 that occurred on June 27th, 1998.
