What to expect at the Small Business Expo

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As the 2nd Annual Small Business Expo quickly approaches people are running out of time to register.
WHIZ is hosting the event Saturday, October 27th at Colony Square Mall from 10 a.m.to 9 p.m. Jay Benson, WHIZ Radio General Manager, said it is an opportunity to encourage small businesses to get their products or specialty out there.
“With small business taking so much of our economy growth it’s an exciting thing to be involved in as a small media company to really promote small business startups and growth,” Benson said.
If you are a small business who plans to attend you need to turn in the registration to Ronda Osborne, WHIZ Receptionist, by this Wednesday at 5 p.m. For people who are interested in attending this is an opportunity to see who these owners are and possibly get a sample of some of the products in the community.
“There’s a lot of small businesses that we may not rub shoulders with on a day to day basis. Maybe we see them on Facebook or Instagram, maybe on Twitter, but we really don’t have an opportunity to see them face to face and this is your opportunity to see people who are in the midst starting up businesses,” Benson said.
Some of the different businesses you can expect to see Saturday are Steve’s Wood Designs, Jose’ Madrid Salsa, Mike’s Wholesale Goods and many more. Click here for more information or call (740) 452-5431.
