Farmers Market Has Pies and Produce

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Blue Ribbon Farmers Market has a bakery and produce hybrid vendor.
Cooper’s Produce is local to Muskingum County and has been coming to the farmers market for seven years. Sharon Bauer tells us what kind of produce she has.
“We have all locally grown produce, it comes right off of Pinkerton Lane. We have several different varieties of beans, tomatoes, pepper, eggplant, broccoli, all kinds of peppers: hot, banana. Squash, zucchini.”
The stand also sells apple butter, different kinds of mustard and locally grown pies.
“Margot Cooper’s pies are the best pies ever. They sell out very quickly, they’re usually gone by 9:30. Today she has one left now but they usually fly right off the table… We have three kinds of mustard, hot sweet and super hot, and then we have apple butter and sugar free apple butter.”
The Blue Ribbon Market runs at the fairgrounds from nine to noon every Saturday.
