Fatal Accident on SR 13
A fatal crash on State Route 13 is under investigation by the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol said around 6 pm, 67-year-old Joellen Back, of Newark, was traveling north on State Route 13 near White Chapel Road when her vehicle drove off the right side of the road striking two utility poles.
The patrol said Back was provided CPRÂ by deputies of the Licking County Sheriff’s Office and she was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The patrol says that they suspect the driver suffered a medical issue that contributed to the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
