Fatal motorcycle crash in Coshocton County

COSHOSCTON, Ohio – An early morning motorcycle crash in Coshocton County has left one person dead.

At 1:35 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a motorcycle on the side of the road with no driver seen near by. Deputies responded to the scene on County Road 16 to investigate and found the motorcycle’s driver unresponsive on the south side of the guardrail.

The driver, Michael Cochran of Coshocton, was taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital but was declared deceased from injuries. Investigation shows that Cochran was traveling east on County Road 16 when he went of the ride side of the road just past Morgan Run Road. He attempted to correct himself but lost control and struck the guardrail.

The incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
