Fieldhouse Beginning New Programs

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Fieldhouse Sports and Wellness Center is unveiling new programs for all ages this new year.
Several programs are in place to teach the fundamentals of softball to young women in the area. Owner Mick Amicone says he sees a growing need for proper softball instruction.
“There is a unique breed of young women that start playing softball because of it being a little easier to develop the mechanics. Not that soccer or basketball or track and field’s not, but we’ve got a number of little girls mimicking the junior high and high school and the club programs around southeastern Ohio, and throughout the whole stature, are growing by leaps and bounds.”, Amicone told WHIZ.
This growth in youth softball has led to Amicone starting softball camps at his gym. Other programs will be meant for older crowds looking to stay in shape.
“We’ve also got men’s bootcamp coming up which is gonna be unreal. High intensity, not for the faint of heart. Probably not as intense as Crossfit, but the men’s bootcamp is coming up. We’re also going to have a great program coming up with Adam and Alaina, our CEO and Director, have a program for moms and tots. They’ve been in the house with them for eleven months now, so we’re gonna have something for them spread out over the three massive buildings we have here.”, Amicone continued.
More information on these programs as well as others can be found on the Fieldhouse website.
