First Saturday of Spring Farmers Market

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Saturday, March 9th was the first day of the Spring Farmers Market at Weasel Boy Brewing.
There were all kinds of local vendors set up with their products ready to go. Hinkle Farms had a table towards the front of the market and they were selling products fast.
“Well in our farm currently we got carrots and spinach and our salad mixes, turnips, and our fresh beef right now and we have more things coming in as the season progresses,” PJ Hinkle said.
The event was from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the room was crowded with vendors selling and community members looking to buy. PJ Hinkle was excited about the turnout for the day and could feel the good energy throughout the room.
“It really opens up the market for us. It gets everybody out here. It helps us get some revenue generated and gets everybody excited about the Farmers Market and getting fresh food back out there for people, local food,” Hinkle said.
The event is every Saturday, from now until the end of April. If you are interested in learning more about Hinkle Farms you can find them on Facebook.
