Flooding Problems in Southeast Ohio

Noble Flooding 1

The rains on Thursday have caused flooding problems in Southeastern Ohio.

In Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is asking motorists to use extra caution as some roads are flooded including Pinkerton Road at Thompson Run Road and Coopermill Road at Wortman Road.

The sheriff said that motorists shouldn’t drive through high water and should turn around if they encounter a flooded roadway.

In Noble County they’ve opened a shelter at Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley due to flooding. Officials said the water is receding in Belle Valley, but is rising in Caldwell. Flooded roadways and debris on the road are a hazard at this time.

In Guernsey County they’ve issued a Level 2 road emergency due to the flooding in that area. A list of Guernsey County road closures can be found on their sheriff’s office website.
