Free Fresh Produce Market on Friday

A partnership between Eastside Community Ministry and the First Baptist Church in South Zanesville will help under resourced members of the community.
Friday, they’ll hold their fresh produce market. Volunteers will help pack boxes of fruits and vegetables for those in need. The even will take place in a drive thru manner.
“It’s vital to people especially those that are under resourced who don’t have good nutritional food in the home. It allows us the opportunity to really help them have a healthier way of life. So, for some people it can be the difference between having good food in their home and not having any,” said Pastor David Nuhfer from the First Baptist Church in South Zanesville.
Organizers said it’s an honor to be able to partner with an organization to help serve the community.
“Some people will say if it weren’t for you we wouldn’t have enough food in our homes. So there is a great sense of satisfaction that we feel in being able to help people in the community to be able to partner with Eastside in a way that really makes the life of under resourced people better,” said Pastor Nuhfer.
For those attending the market they ask that you arrive no earlier than 9am Friday. If you would like to volunteer to pack boxes you can arrive at 8:15am and place a note in your front windshield that said volunteer, so they can park you safely. The First Baptist Church is located at 80 East Main Street in South Zanesville.
