Fresh Produce Giveaway Friday

Feeding under resourced families is the mission of a drive thru food giveaway taking place Friday.
After taking a few months off Eastside Community Ministry and First Baptist Church in South Zanesville will once again hold their fresh produce food giveaway. The pastor at First Baptist said it’s nice to be able to team up to feed those in need.
“It’s wonderful. They do so much great work in the community and just to be able to partner with them and to help people down in this area especially who are under resourced it’s just a real blessing we’re glad to be able to help people and show them what the love of God is all about,” said Pastor David Nuhfer.
The temperatures are expected to be cold Friday so they remind people attending to dress warm while they wait in their vehicles. It could also cause some minor difficulties for volunteers loading boxes.
“So the issues of parking and moving people through become a little more difficult, but we go a good plan and we’re looking forward to being able to help the people. We haven’t seen a number of them for awhile. It will be good to see them again and just find out how they’re doing,” said Pastor Nuhfer.
The church asks that no one arrive before 9AM for the giveaway. They hope to help around 200 families for the event. Eastside does have requirements on who receives the supplies. For any questions contact Eastside Community Ministry.
The First Baptist Church is located at 80 E. Main Street in South Zanesville.
