Ohio Governor Mike DeWine held his Tuesday COVID-19 update and announced a curfew to try to slow the fast spread of the coronavirus.

DeWine says the stay at home order for Ohioans will run from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. starting Thursday. The order will last for three weeks. DeWine says “we believe this will help reduce COVID-19 spread.

He says there are exceptions like going to work or going to the hospital or grocery store.” He added that carry-out and delivery will be allowed to continues from bars and restaurants, but retail will be closed during the curfew. He says the public should use common sense during the curfew.

The Governor says that he is also asking each Ohioan every day to do at least one thing that will reduces your contacts with others. He says if we can cut contacts by 20-25 percent, this will make a difference.

Paired with mask-wearing this will go a long way from stopping our hospitals from being overrun. Daily COVID-19 cases have tripled in the last three weeks.
