Governor Mike DeWine announced Thursday that restaurants can start to re-open in phases starting next week

ZANESVILLE – On May 15th, Restaurants can open up the outdoor seating area for customers. Eateries can fully re-open its doors come the 21st. Local restaurants are exciting and making preparations to finally open its doors again.
“We’re really kind of chomping at the bit to get this whole thing started. We’re super excited that we’re going to have the opportunity to open on the 15th. We’ve got one of the larger patio areas in Zanesville so we’re excited to be able to use that space and have room for people to come back to work here and work through it but also have somewhere for the customers to come into,” the Barn Owner Jim Watson said.
The Barn as well as Rake’s Place are following DeWine’s guidelines and implementing techniques to better assure diners’ safety.
“We will have the six feet between the tables. We’re getting barriers between our booths so we can still be able to see all of our booths. The table’s seating will obviously be limited. We’re going to try and enforce entrance in one way, exit another – try to keep the tables six feet apart. We’ll do the best we can. Obviously, its tight in here already,” Rake’s Place Co-Owner Amber Herron said.
The Barn will be serving the same food items that were made available with its delivery and carry-out and Rake’s Place will return to serving its signature sea food on May 15th.
