Hahn and Jones lead Muskingum to victory in season finale

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Muskingum (2-8, 1-8) football team saved their best for last.
The Muskies took on Wilmington (2-8, 1-8) at home to wrap up the 2017 season and crushed the Quakers 41-7. Wilmington opened the game by scoring a quick touchdown on their opening drive, but they never got close to the Muskingum goal line the rest of the game.
Several Muskies had big performances and even put their names in the school record book. Wide receiver Damon Jones, playing in his last game at Muskingum, had 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He finished with 875 yards on the year which breaks Darrell Hazel’s 36 year old mark. Freshman quarterback Broady Hahn also had a big day, throwing for 315 yards and four touchdowns. He finishes the season with 2,026 passing yards and 14 touchdowns – both school records.
The victory ends Muskingum’s eight game losing streak and will give the Muskies some momentum going into the off season.
