The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says four of seven defendants charged in the Harrison Township EMS case were sentenced Monday. Brian Hatfield was facing five charges and ended up being sentenced on three theft charges and faces 78 months in prison and was ordered by Judge Kelly Cottrill to pay 345-thousand dollars in restitution. Robert Hatfield was sentenced on obstructing justice and theft charges and received 30 days of local incarceration, 3 years community control, 50 hours of public service and must pay restitution of just over 47-hundred dollars. Beverly Hatfield was sentenced on obstructing justice charges and received 60 days local incarceration, 3 years community control, 50 hours of public service and must pay just over 65-hundred dollars in restitution. And finally, Heather Price was sentenced on theft and obstructing justice charges and received 30 days in jail, 3 years community control, 50 hours of public service and must pay restitution of just over 42-hundred dollars. The case was prosecuted by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and focused on the mis-spending of 500-thousand dollars designated for emergency services for Harrison Township Emergency Medical Services.
