High school basketball player of the week – Jake McLoughlin

DRESDEN, Ohio – Tri-Valley’s Jake McLoughlin has been voted the WHIZ-TV high school basketball player of the week.
In a game Tuesday that decided suppremacy in the Muskingum Valley League against John Glenn, the Scotties senior had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Tri-Valley was tied with the Little Muskies at the break, but a strong second half lead them to a 64-52 victory. McLoughlin also threw down two dunks in the win.
The victory gave Tri-Valley sole possession of first place in the Muskingum Valley League and the Scotties are now 7-1 on the season.
McLoughlin said chemistry is the key to the Scottie success.
“From being football team mates to growing up together and trusting each other through out the process. It’s been great. It’s awesome to play with these guys. They have been my best friends since sixth grade,” said McLoughlin.
McLoughlin is committed to play college basketball at Division II Ashland University next year.
