High school football player of the week – Greg Nolder

DRESDEN, Ohio – Catching four touchdowns in a game makes for a nice stat line. Doing that while also getting a 53 point victory makes it all the more memorable.
Tri-Valley’s Greg Nolder gets our Player of the Week award for doing just that. The senior wide receiver and linebacker caught four touchdown passes in Friday’s 53-0 win over Morgan. Three came in the first half and he added a fourth in the third quarter.
“I thought we executed very well. Andrew (Newsom) threw the ball extremely well. I just tried to run my routes hard and catch everything that was thrown to me. I thought our o-line did a great job of protecting,” said Nolder.
In total Nolder had seven receptions for 77 yards to go along with the four scores. His touchdowns came on distances of 2, 12, 12, and 21 yards.
The Scotties are now 1-1 on the season and will take on 1-1 Zanesville this Friday on the road.
