GIRLS TENNIS:
NEWARK: 5 WESTLAND: 0
The Newark girls ended their regular season with a win over Westland in a non-conference match.
Addi Taylert won her singles match 6-2, 6-0. Andy Hupp won 6-2, 6-2. In third singles Azzure Horne won 6-1, 6-0. The first doubles team of Abby Armstrong and Kenna Hauser won 6-0, 6-0. Fallon Pitts and Natalee Breckenridge took second doubles 6-0, 6-1.
The Wildcats finish their season 8-8. They open sectional play at Pickerington Central High School on Thursday at 8:30am.
Cambridge first doubles team of Ziciah Gibson and Kara Loader advance to the district tournament for a second time with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the final. Second doubles of Makena Brown and Gabby Porter won two to make the final, but lost to East Liverpool’s first doubles. All singles players Kylie Taylor, Braxton King and Sidney Kirkbride won their first matches, but came up short in the second. The Lady Cats play Wednesday in a regular season match at Claymont’s new courts.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL:
MEADOWBROOK: 3 MORGAN: 0
The Colts won in three straight sets 25-9, 25-19, 25-19. Meadowbrook improves to 16-1 on the season and 11-1 in the MVL.
ZANESVILLE: 1 LAKEWOOD: 3
The Lancers defeated the Blue Devils 25-16, 19-25, 25-15, 25-21. Kyra Cassin from Lakewood served five aces and distributed 29 assists. Aubrey Howell added 13 kills, 6 aces and 18 digs. Charlee Palmer had 11 kids and Hannah Byas 7 aces.
Zanesville falls to 0-16, 0-9 on the season. Lakewood is now 1-12, 1-8 in the LCL.
JOHN GLENN: 2 SHERIDAN: 3
The Generals took the Little Muskies to five sets winning 22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 16-25 and 11-15.
Sheridan’s leaders include Faith Stinson who had 18 kills, 2 blocks and 6 digs. Alexis Bradley had 30 assists and 23 digs and was 100 percent serving. Jamison Stinson added 17 kills and 18 digs.
The Little Muskies Emma Johnson 12 kills, 2 aces, 15 digs, 1 block and was 100% serving. Abby Buchtel added 10 kills, 1 ace, 23 digs. Hannah DeMattio put up 9 kills. Lauren Blair 33 assists, 3 kills, 20 digs and was 100% serving.

WEST MUSKINGUM: 1 COSHOCTON: 3
The Coshocton Redskins took away a victory winning 25-21, 23-25, 25-23 and 25-21.
Leading a balanced offensive attack for Coshocton was Lindsay Bryant with 13 kills while Hailey Helter added 10, Addy Gordon posted 8, and Kenidi Jackson had 7. Jalynn West set up the offense with 40 assists.
On the other side of the net West Muskingum was led by Sydney McWhorter who had 4 aced serves, 14 kills and 21 digs. Kyler Moore had 12 kills and 16 digs. Camryn Welch added 8 kills. Gianna Ewert had 6 kills and 18 digs.
NEW LEXINGTON: 3 CROOKSVILLE: 0
The Panthers took the Ceramics in straight sets 25-8, 25-16 and 25-10.
Aubri Spicer had 13 kills for the Panthers. Jerrilynn Koehler added 10 kills, 4 aces and 3 digs. Nora Duperow tallied 4 aces, 6 kills and 6 digs.
GRANVILLE: 0 NORTHRIDGE: 3
The Blue Aces were defeated 18-25, 18-25 and 22-25.
Gracie Mack had 18 assists. Sophia Fraley had 8 aces, 4 kills and 3 blocks. Paige Hamilton had 7 kills. Clara Wildermuth had 10 kills. Kaylin Fuhrman had 14 digs and Bella Wildermuth had 5 blocks.

Allie Walker and Jillian Wiersma netted the goals for the Blue Devils. Zanesville is now 6-5-2. They play Granville on Thursday.

The Wildcats Pippy Brown and Mayci Sayre both put in 2 goals. Maddy Arias, Lila James, Megan Herriott and Taylor Enright each added a goal a piece.

The Tornadoes were down two goals and came back to score three straight goals by Francesco Rossi to secure the victory.

NEWARK: 4 GROVEPORT MADISON: 1
The Wildcats Hayden Reischman opened the scoring in the first half off an assist by Noah Dagois. A few minutes later, Noah Dagois scored a one time volley from the top of the box to take the game to 2-0. Groveport scored to make the game 2-1. Benji Ramirez extended the lead to 3-1 off a quality finish at the near post from a well placed Elijah Mason corner. Newark was able to find a fourth in the 2nd half from another Elijah Mason assist and a quality run and finish by Noah Dagois.
