The Newark girls tennis team defeated Zanesville 4-1 in a non conference match. The Wildcasts: Addi Taylert won 7-5, 6-2, Andy Hupp won 6-3, 6-3. Azzure Horne won 6-1, 6-0. Abby Armstrong and Kenna Hauser won 6-4, 6-2.
With the win, Newark is 7-8 overall. Next up, Newark will host Westland on Oct. 5 at 4:00 in its last match of the season.

Sydney Maxwell netted two goals for the Bishops and Chloe Zemba added another to get the victory. Makaela McLaughlin had a big night is goal with 17 saves.

Heath’s Allie Dunlap got a hat-trick plus one in the victory. Tayrn Gamble and Brielle Keck added a goal a piece.

New Lexington defeated Canal Winchester 17-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-17. Jerrilynn Koehler had 14 kills, 6 aces, 4 blocks and 3 digs. Aubri Spicer had 15 kills and 2 blocks. Nora Duperow added 7 kills and 6 digs.

Morgan defeated Crooksville in three sets 8-25, 22-25 and 13-25. The Raiders Grace Pinkerton had 15 kills and 2 blocks. Jensen Payton had 16 kills and 3 blocks. Evelyn Newton added 8 kills and 1 block.

The Redskins won with scores of 25-10, 25-9 and 25-22. Leading the offensive attack, Jalynn West, who dished out 41 assists to several Redskin attackers. Lindsay Bryant pounded 13 kills while Hailey Helter added 10, Kenidi Jackson posted 7, and Ella Bible had 6. Defensively, Miyah Davis dug up 18.
With the victory, Coshocton improves to 10-6 on the season while Newcomerstown falls to 3-12.
