Local Youth Archers Compete In Maysville Fun Shoot Archery Event

ZANESVILLE, OH- It was a big weekend for local archery in our area as local competitors in elementary school all the way up to high school made their way to Maysville High School as they hosted its annual archery event.
Earlier in the week, we shared the inspirational story of Paige Calendine. Paige is a 10-year-old from Zanesville who is not letting her disability hold her back while she is inspiring others through her love of sport.
Paige took part in the Maysville High School’s annual Fun Shoot…which is an event that allows those in elementary school all the way up to high school to represent their school and participate in archery events throughout the day.
The first event was 3-D archery…which is when archers shoot at foam animal three-dimensional targets followed by standard archery with bullseye targets.
Overall, it was an exciting day for archers all over our community but most importantly for Paige she was doing what she loved while showing that anything is possible”
