JaQuan Lyle no longer on Ohio State basketball team

EVANSVILLE, IN – Ohio State basketball player JaQuan Lyle was arrested on three charges and apparently told officials at OSU that he was quitting the team over a month ago.
Lyle was in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana when he was arrested at 2 a.m. Saturday morning. Police reports say Lyle was intoxicated when he was removed from a bar. He then punched a police car. Lyle was arrested before being released on $150 bond.
A spokesperson for Ohio State said that Lyle told the school that he was quitting the team on April 11. Lyle’s name is no longer listed on the roster on Ohio State’s website. Lyle would of been entering his junior season.
Him no longer being a part of the team means all five members of the 2015 Buckeye basketball recruiting class are no longer on the team. Lyle was OSU’s third leading scorer this past season.
