THORNVILLE, Ohio — The John Glenn Little Muskies are a perfect 5-0 after defeating Sheridan on Friday night by a final of 65-39.

John Glenn and Sheridan came into the game among the top teams in the MVL, and both lead by their signal callers from the fall. Though after 32 minutes of play on Friday, the gap between the two teams appears substantial.

Ethan Heller came out hot for the Generals. He hit his first three-point attempt of the night, en route to a seven-point opening quarter. Heller didn’t get much help though as the Little Muskies still held a 19-13 lead after the first eight minutes. John Glenn then outscored Sheridan 15-8 in the second quarter to help build a 13-point halftime lead.

The Little Muskies were balanced all night in their scoring, Casey Smith lead the way with 14 points. Josh Raley added 13, and Justin Heacock chipped in 11. Raley hit three of the Muskies eight three-point field goals in the game, to just three makes from beyond the arc for Sheridan.

John Glenn is now 4-0 in MVL play, and they are off until after the New Year when they host New Philadelphia on January 3rd. Sheridan is back in action just two days after Christmas, when they travel to Licking Valley on December 27th.
