Lady Devils fall in Martin’s Zanesville coaching debut

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Seth Martin, all-Ohio basketball player at Zanesville in the mid 90s, coached his first game for his alma mater Wednesday evening.

The Lady Devils opened up the season, under their new coach, with a 44-29 home loss to ECOL foe New Philadelphia. The Lady Devils fell behind early and were trying to play catch up the whole game.

Senior Tasia Staunton lead ZHS in scoring with 10 points. Kenzie Newsome and Melena Moore chipped in eight each.

The Lady Devils hit the road Saturday to play Dover at 1 p.m.
