Library Offers Updates

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Library System has been doing a curbside service at its John Mcintire branch.
Community Relations Director Sean Fennell reports that the service has been a rousing success and gives an update on whether it will move to the branch locations.
“Within the first week of having curbside at John Mcintire Library we have served over three hundred people and checked out well over fourteen-hundred items. The first week has been a really good success so we are continuing curbside at John Mcintire Library. We’ve worked out some of the bugs and sorted out some of the details and we’re really looking forward to what this might look like at our branch locations.”
Fennell also unveiled a new service from the library called “Techspert”. The service is online and Fennell detailed what it entailed.
“In addition to our curbside something we are offering is our book an expert or book a “techspert” and those are really fun opportunities for people to schedule a time with a reference librarian or a technology expert at the library to help them one on one. This can happen from a phone call or it can also happen through a video chat, it really depends on the person who’s booking their expert or techspert.”
Techsperts and experts can be booked on the library website and curbside pickup is from two to six every weekday.
