Local Boy Scouts Working Toward Highest Scout Rank
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Rosecrans High School Seniors Matthew Mulholland, Noah Moulton and Zanesville High School Junior, Logan Dinan are all working simultaneously on earning their Eagle Scout badge.
In order to earn their Eagle Scout badge, part of the process requires the boy scouts to work on a project that benefits the community, rather than the scouts themselves.
Dr. Cassandra McDonald, C.E.O. at C.A.S.S. M.I.N.D Academy said that it’s an honor and a privilege to be partnering with the Boy Scouts of America.
“Who better than to represent our incredible young people that we have right here in Zanesville, there are some people that are doing some very passionate things and that’s our boy scouts.â€
Dr. McDonald said that it’s a great to have the local schools involved, the autistic children at C.A.S.S. M.I.N.D. Academy, and the social services members to observe, help, and model for these young men while they work on their projects at the historical Buckingham House.
Troop 164, Scout Master, Chris Maples said that each scout is working on a different project at the Buckingham House.
“One of them is doing some playground equipment, the other is doing a fence around the playground, and the third project is going to be a patio recreation area in the back along with a new sign outside the building.â€
Dr. McDonald said that it’s a privilege to be integrated with the boy scouts and to watch their progress over the next couple months.
